Congrats, Grads!

A belated congrats to all our class of 2009 teammates on graduation. To everyone else: Happy Summer!

In website news, the Prospectives page has been updated with the contact information of next year's captains for interested newcomers to Bates. Also, the guys team now has a legitimate website at bateshockey.com and was kind enough to link to us. Special thanks to Tim for setting that up.

End of Season Banquet

Last week, our end of season banquet was held. Awards were selected by the team and are:

Most Valuable Player: Lauren Slipp
Best Offensive Player: Kathleen Boyland
Best Defensive Player: Lauren Slipp
Most Improved Player: Kristy Zera

Anne Mueller was selected by teammates as the 2009 women's recipient of the Dick Williamson Alumni Ice Hockey Award. This award recognizes "leadership, spirit, skill, dedication, humor, and sportsmanship, both on and off the ice."

Also, captains for next year were elected and will be: Lauren Slipp, Kara Sullivan, and Kathleen Boyland.

Congrats to everyone. Thank you all for a great season.

UVM Game

UVM defeated Bates 8-1 in our final game of the season. Thanks to everyone who supported us this past season.

Game Saturday

Tomorrow, Saturday, February 28, Bates will host UVM at 4:00pm.

UVM Game

The University of Vermont defeated Bates 6-0 this afternoon at Underhill Arena in Bates' last regular season home game of the season. Prior to the game, seniors Megan Arnold, Caitlin Demko, Rachel Kaplan, Kelley O'Connor, and Anne Mueller were honored for their years of service to the team. Thanks, girls!

We're on break now, looking forward to hosting the NEWCHL Tournament in two weeks.

Fairfield Game

Bates defeated Fairfield 6-1 this afternoon at Underhill Arena.

Mount Holyoke Game

Bates defeated Mount Holyoke 4-3 at Underhill Arena to secure a spot in the NEWCHL Playoff Tournament.

Also, the home game against Fairfield has been rescheduled for this Friday, February 13 at 4:30pm.
